There is risk involved when undervolting - undervolting too much can cause your machine to freeze. The problem is if you or your system is performing a critical task (such as updating) or if you are working with data that may become corrupt as a result of the crash.
It is important to find a stable undervolt before doing anything critical. Or simply don't undervolt at all and make use of the other power saving features Volta has to offer.
You have 30 seconds from logging in to adjust/reset your previous Volta settings before Volta applies them.
Volta has been tested with Haswell Macbook Pros (2013, 2014 and 2015). Some functionalities such as undervolting may not be compatible with your model. To test compatibility, you can use Volta free for 7-days.
Please report compatibility issues to volta@garymathews.com, I would like to keep informed.
Volta requires a custom System Integrity Protection state. This does not require SIP to be fully disabled.
Enter your license key in the settings menu.
The license key can only be used once and is tied to the first machine the key is entered into.
